What’s for Pudding? was formed in Kilmessan, Co. Meath by Catriona Flaherty and her son Rory Flaherty. What’s For Pudding? was initially supplied to local Supervalu stores and a number of independent shops. Within a number of months, the What’s For Pudding? Sticky Toffee Pudding won gold at the Blas na h’Eireann food awards and so the exciting journey started.

The Irish retailer Dunnes Stores made contact after being impressed when tasting What’s For Pudding? Sticky Toffee pudding.

What’s For Pudding? started producing puddings for the Dunnes Stores’ Simply Better Collection. A great collaboration was formed and we are very proud to have won multiple awards for the Simply Better Collection especially a Great Taste Golden Fork in 2016 for the Simply Better All Butter Sticky Toffee Pudding.

In 2020 the What’s For Pudding? brand became available nationwide in Tesco stores bringing award winning dessert puddings to even more families in Ireland. Exciting plans are afoot to expand the range of puddings available at Pudding HQ.

What’s for Pudding?

Our Story began at home and continues at home…

Catriona grew up in a house in Dublin where there was always a welcoming cup of tea and ‘something nice’ for the many visitors and friends who called.

For Catriona the big question, on arriving home from school each day, was always “What’s for Pudding?

Catriona’s mother, Molly, was from Belfast and dessert was always ‘pudding’.

Many years later when Catriona and her family decided to make puddings they had already been well tested, tasted and enthusiastically approved by family and friends.

“What’s for Pudding?” was the obvious choice of brand name for “Puddings you can pass off as your own”.
